Setting Sexual Boundaries in Your Marriage

Updated: Mar 2, 2020

When pornography addiction tears a couple apart, there are TWO very important processes that MUST be taking place in order for the marriage to heal: 1. The pornography addict must move into "real" recovery and the spouse must begin the journey of healing her betrayal trauma. Once these two processes are in motion, a couple should immediately look at the difficult but essential effort of SETTING BOUNDARIES. Why? Because the most connected relationships are BOUNDARIED RELATIONSHIPS!

The first priority is to set boundaries that create "safety" in the relationship. Without safety, what every couple desires—intimacy (into-me-you-see)—is not possible. Among the most important boundaries establishing safety are SEXUAL BOUNDARIES. In this PBSE podcast episode, Mark and Steve get raw and real about HOW to establish sexual boundaries--the do's and do nots; how to deal with awkwardness; being willing to jettison resistance and old sexual attitudes that no longer serve you in your relationship. Mark and Steve also share a SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT that will help you talk openly about your sexual relationship and what you want it look and be like in your marriage. You CAN mend your marriage relationship.
